Canadian professional services company, Stantec, has outlined five steps companies can take to prepare for complying with California's climate-related disclosure laws (SB 253 and SB 261).
Stantec's five steps are:
- Start data collection and climate risk assessment
- Conduct a gap analysis
- Start calculating Scope 3 emissions
- Identify climate risks and opportunities
- Embed climate considerations across the organisation.
