Most (51%) companies said they spend or expect to spend over €100,000 a year on CSRD compliance, according to a survey by New York-based sustainability technology company Novata.
In particular 29% said it will cost between €100,000 and €250,000 per year, whilst 22% said it will cost over €250,000 annually.
Amongst companies with over 1,000 full-time employees, 77% said they expect to spend over €50,000 on data collection and management fees, 88% said they would spend that much on assurance, and 58% said they expect to spend that much on the double materiality assessment.
Notably, amongst the companies with less than 1,000 full-time employees, less than a quarter said they expect to spend €50,000 on any of particular aspects of CSRD compliance.
